The big three
- Reading. What a writer means, what they leave out, and why. We work real texts until your kid can take apart a hard passage alone.
- Writing. A clear sentence, then a clear paragraph, then an essay that says something. No formulas.
- Thinking. Making a claim, backing it up, and finding the hole in someone else's argument.
Why I built this
- I taught English and debate in Lynn, Massachusetts for thirty years. Smart kids came through my door every year reading two and three grades below level.
- It wasn't because they couldn't learn. Nobody stopped to teach them how.
- So when I retired, I built what those kids needed: one teacher, one student, and the actual skills.

- Honors students, kids who hated school, kids reading years below grade level, and kids nobody ever pushed. I've taught all of them.
- Right now I'm tutoring four neurodivergent students. I adjust the lesson to your kid, not the other way around.
